Learn about the NHD program, the annual theme, dates and deadlines, contest information during this orientation. 

School Participation Form Due

Teachers should submit their School Participation Form by October 30th.

NHD - North Bay Counties Registration Opens

Students and teachers can begin registering for the Sonoma County competition. $35 registration fee for each student participating.

NHD - North Bay Counties Registration Closes

Last day to register for county competition.  Late registration fee $45

Late Registration Closes

Last day to register for $45 fee (includes $10 late fee).  All fees due to NHD-Sonoma County.

County Competition Fees Due

Please send in one check per school. Checks should be made out to NHD-Sonoma County and mailed to NHD-Sonoma County, 821 Vaughn Court, Santa Rosa, CA 95409.

Deadline to Upload Papers

Be sure to upload your paper by 8:59 PM. 

Deadline to Publish Websites

Be sure to save and publish your website by 8:59 PM. After this time, you will not be able to edit your website.

Deadline to Upload Documentaries

All documentaries must be uploaded by 8:59 PM. Please allow time for the uploading process.

If you've been selected to represent Sonoma County at the NHD-CA competition, come learn about what to expect. Judges will be on hand to help you understand your score sheets and discuss ways to improve your project.
